Shri Kalraj Mishra, Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises inaugurated Techmart India organized by NSIC here today. It is an International Technology Fair for micro, small and medium enterprises which coincides with India International Trade Fair. It is NSIC's premier exhibition where MSMEs from all over India showcase their products and technologies. The event also provides opportunities for creating sustainable business alliances.
This year also, NSIC is organizing 22nd edition of the event i.e. 'Techmart India-2014' in hall no. 14 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, 2014. The total area of hall no 14 is 4890 sq. meters.
In 'Techmart India-2014', the total no. of participants is 586 (540 in the last year) out of which 403 nos. are participating through virtual display and remaining 183 has taken space/ stall. These 183 participants include 19 no. ST/ST, 36 no. from North-Eastern States and 17 no. women entrepreneurs.
The event is basically a Technology Based Exhibition which mainly covers Packing and Packaging Machines and Products, Machines and Machine Tools, Information Technology, Agro and Food Processing Machines and Products, Electrical and Electronics Products, Auto Components and Industrial Products etc.
