Transplant Centres Under KNOS
As informed by Kerala Network for Organ Sharing(KNOS), data of outcome of the patients undergoing deceased donor transplant in the State of Kerala is being collected periodically by KNOS.
In pursuance of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act 1994(as amended in 2011), the Central Government has established National Organ and Tissue Transplant Registry (NOTTR). NOTTR has in built format for capturing survival data of organ transplant patients. Each organ and/or tissue transplant centre is required to enter data in the registry as per format. Once data is entered in NOTTR, it will be accessible to any professional and administrator as per permitted accessibility. Accordingly, no further action is required to be taken to collect the data separately.
The Health Minister, Shri J P Nadda stated this in a written reply in the Lok Sabha here today.
