Two Occupants of a Tractor Trolly Were Killed in an Incient at an Manned Level Near Moradabad in Uttar Ptadesh Railway Minister Announces an Ex-Gratia of Rs. 2 lakh to Next kin of Deceased & Rs. 1 lakh to Grievously Injured Gateman Placed Under Suspension

In an unfortunate incident a tractor trolley dashed with the Engine of Train No. 13010 Dehradun-Howrah Doon Express at Manned Level Crossing No. 249-C at Km. 1124/13-15 between Umartali-Sandila Stations of Bareilly-Lucknow section of Northern Railway. Two occupants in the tractor trolley were injured because of this dashing with train engine and were immediately carried to nearby hospital where they succumbed to injuries. Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Moradabad Division, Sr. Divisional Engineer and Sr. Divisional Safety Officer of Moradabad Division along with other Divisional officers rushed to the site to personally monitor the rescue and relief operations.

The Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu has expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved families. He announced an enhanced ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh each next to the kin of the deceased, Rs. 1 lakh to the grievously injured and Rs. 20000 who sustained simple injury. The Railway Minister also gave instruction to place the Gateman of the gate under suspension immediately.
