The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh will be attending the Sixth Meeting of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Ministers of Interior / Home to be held at Kathmandu, Nepal on September 19, 2014.
The Home Minister is leaving for Kathmandu tomorrow morning and the Home Secretary, Shri Anil Goswamy is leaving today to attend the Sixth Meeting of SAARC Secretaries of Interior / Home at Kathmandu, Nepal on September 18, 2014
On his arrival at Kathmandu, Shri Rajnath Singh will call on Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, President of Nepal and Shri Sushil Koirala, Prime Minister of Nepal. Shri Rajnath Singh will also meet Shri Bamdev Gautam, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Nepal and the leaders of Nepali Congress.
In the meeting, issues like Suppression of Terrorism, Maritime Security and Piracy, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, combating corruption, cyber crimes, Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, Trafficking in Women and Children and Promotion of Child Welfare in South Asia are likely to be discussed.
After the meeting, Shri Rajnath Singh will also meet the leaders of political parties of Nepal.
