Vehicular Movement on NH-212
As per the decisions of Deputy Commissioner, Chamrajnagara and upheld by the Honble High Court of Karnataka, the traffic movement in about 20 km stretch of NH-212 between Gundlupet and Sulthan Batheri Road is banned during night from 2000 Hrs to 0600 Hrs in the interest of peaceful existence of wildlife in the Bandipur Tiger Reserve. There is no such proposal for construction of tunnel in this stretch of NH-212. This information was given by Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways, Shri Pon. Radhakrishnan in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
