Yoga coordinates between body, spirit, mind and soul Rajnath Singh
The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh has said that Yoga in human life coordinates between body, spirit, mind and soul. He was addressing the valedictory session of the International Conference on Yoga for Holistic Health, here today. Shri Rajnath Singh has said that being birth place of Yoga, India never wanted to become a world leader in propagating Yoga but wanted everyone in the world to live in good health and peace. India has always practiced Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which says the world is one family, he added.
The Union Home Minister has said that on International Day of Yoga, there was a festive mood not only in India but all over the world. Yoga was practiced everywhere, including water, land and air (jal, thal and nav). Entire world has practiced Yoga, which doesnt belong to one Religion or Caste, he added. The entire credit goes to the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi for making International Yoga Day a reality.
Shri Rajnath Singh has compared the human life with a physical formula. The circumference of satisfaction of a man is purportedly related to happiness, and that happiness can be achieved through Yoga, he added. Yoga joins groups in the society and it doesnt divide, he added. After Buddhism which is born in India and spread all over the world, Yoga is the one which is also born in India and spread all over the world now.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State (I/C) for AYUSH said that Ministry of AYUSH is taking all possible steps to promote Yoga at various levels.
He also pointed out that global attention has been directed towards the use of Yoga to meet the health care needs of the people. The wider acceptability and global resurgence of demand in Yoga has drawn attention of medical scientists even in developed countries. Scientists are promoted to undertake scientific studies for lifestyle- related diseases as well as to achieve the target of wellness.
Yog- Sadhana is considered important for a meaningful life. Its orientation to a comprehensive health both individual and social, makes it a worthy practice for the people of all religions, races and nationalities.
Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga a premier Yoga Institution under the Ministry has been designated as the first WHO collaborating Centre in Traditional Medicine(Yoga).
The Scheme for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals has been launched on the occasion by Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Minister for Home and Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, MoS(I/C), Ministry of AYUSH. The focus of the scheme is to certify the competence of Yoga Professionals who provide Yoga Lessons as teachers. The certificate will be issued after three stage screening comprising of Written test practical demonstration and interview. The certificate will be valid for a period of three years only.
Yoga exponents Swami Jaggi Vasudev of Isha Foundation, Dr. Pranav Pandya Scientific Spiritualist and Sister Shivani of Brahmakumaris and senior officials of the Ministry were also present on the occasion.
