At least 11 Taliban militants, including a key commander, were killed Saturday by units of the Afghan National Army, an army officer said.
"In the crackdown against Taliban which began in Andar district of Ghazni province early Saturday, 11 Taliban rebels, including their commander Mullah Noor Mohammad, were killed," army spokesman Nazifullah Sultani told Xinhua.
He also emphasised that the operations will continue until the area is cleared of the armed insurgents.
