“Crazy Rich Asians” led the North American box office for a third straight weekend, making the US Labour Day weekend one of the strongest in years, while the latest Tom Cruise blockbuster made a major splash when it opened in China.

The Warner Bros. romantic comedy collected $22.2 million in the US and Canada, ComScore Inc. estimated in an email Sunday. Warner Bros.’s “The Meg” ranked second domestically, taking in $10.5 million.
