Supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi have warned the international community that the country is heading towards civil war following a military coup.
Morsi's backers have formed a group called "Anti-coup Egyptian delegation of public diplomacy" and it has been visiting UN agencies and diplomatic missions to put forward their case against the militia for hijacking the 2011 revolution that ousted Hosni Mubarak, the Huffington Post reports. Former chief editor of the Al-Shorouk newspaper Wael Kandil said the present regime that led the security forces' attack the supporters of Muslim Brotherhood, which has killed more than 1,000 people and led to almost 2,000 arrests, was ripping the country apart.
