Pak's new army chief calls on Prime Minister Sharif

They discussed professional matters of the armed forces

Pakistan's new Army chief today called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed a number of issues including the ongoing 'missing persons' case in the Supreme Court.

They discussed professional matters of the armed forces. Security situation of the country besides issue of missing persons also came under discussion, Radio Pakistan reported.

The Prime Minister felicitated Gen Raheel on assuming the office of Army Chief and hoped that Pakistan Army will further improve its professional capabilities under his leadership.

Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif was also present in the meeting.
