Peshawar Christian colony attackers were foreigners: Pakistani Minister

In the past, Pakistan has accused Afghan nationals for various attacks

Pakistan's Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that the four suicide bombers who were killed by security forces while attempting to storm a Christian colony in Peshawar were "foreigners".

"We know that they (Christian colony attackers) were not Pakistani and we have tried to evaluate which country they belonged," Khan told media in Mardan after meeting with those injured in a suicide bombing at a court complex on Friday.

At least 13 people were killed and over 50 injured in Mardan sessions court attack which occurred hours after four suicide bombers tried to storm Christian colony in Peshawar.
 
All four were killed by security forces.

In the past, Pakistan has accused Afghan nationals for various attacks.

Khan said Pakistan was fighting the war against terrorism for its own survival.

"Pakistan's security forces have won a difficult war but there is still more to be done to eradicate terrorism entirely," he said.
