Radio Free Europe reported that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a Chinese-led development bank, suspended all business with Russia and Belarus on March 3, a possible sign of the limits to Beijing and Moscow's relationship.
 
Similarly, the Shanghai-based New Development Bank also suspended business with Russia the same day.

Russia-Ukraine war pushes up global gold prices to $2000 per ounce

Inflationary fears triggered a rush for safe haven investments during the ongoing market volatility that pushed up the global gold price to $2,000 per ounce on Monday.
 
Accordingly, the fears of supply shortages due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict along with robust demand has kept prices higher.
 
Besides, sanctions on Russia, which is a major producer of Gold, is expected to reduce the supply.
 
Last week, MCX gold prices increased sharply by 4.66 per cent to Rs 52,559 levels.
 
Besides, 'Spot Gold' prices increased by 4.30 per cent to $1,970.35 per ounce.
 
Notably, gold prices have increased by more than $40, accelerating a well-defined upward trend that began in the first week of March.

Ukraine ready to discuss 'non-NATO models'

NATO countries are not ready to discuss having Ukraine in the organisation and Kiev is now ready to discuss "some non-NATO models", an official said.

"The response that we are getting from the NATO countries is that they are not ready to even discuss having us in NATO, not for the closest period of five or 10 years. We would not fight for the NATO applications, we would fight for the result, but not for the process," Xinhua news agency quoted David Arakhamia, member of the Ukrainian delegation for talks with Russia, as saying to Fox News on Sunday.

"We are ready to discuss some non-NATO models... We are open to discuss such things in a broader circle, not only in bilateral discussions with Russia, but also with other partners," Arakhamia added.

Netflix suspends services in Russia amid nation's invasion of Ukraine

Streaming giant Netflix is suspending its operations in Russia, joining the long line of major entertainment companies and Hollywood studios that have closed operations in the country.
 
"Given the circumstances on the ground, we have decided to suspend our service in Russia," a Netflix spokesperson said as quoted by Variety on Sunday.
 
Back in December, Russia's Roskomnadzor included Netflix in the register of audiovisual services after the subscriber base for the company exceeded 100,000.
