Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today left for the US to attend the 70th session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
He will address the UNGA on September 30, Radio Pakistan reported today.
On the sidelines of the session, Sharif will attend global leaders meeting on gender equality and women empowerment organised by China and UN women.

Sharif will also attend receptions to be hosted separately by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and US President Barack Obama in honour of the visiting heads of state.
The Prime Minister will attend a peace summit co-hosted by Pakistan, the US and the UN Secretary General.
The report did not say whether Sharif will meet his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the session.
