Local officials in Afghanistan's Ghor province have said that several militant groups including the Taliban are recruiting children, inducting them as soldiers into the group.

Zabiulalh Jawad, the independent human rights chief in the province,  has told the Khaama Press that its officials have credible evidence and documents to prove that Taliban are recruiting children.

The Provincial governor's spokesman, Abdulhai Khatebi, even confirmed Jawad's remarks, adding that the group was actively recruiting children in areas under their control.

Simlutaneously, reports emerged from the eastern Nangarhar province that loyalists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also a terrorist group, are forcing children and young men in the districts to fight for the group.

Young women and girls are said to be forced into marriage.
