A train station close to Disneyland Paris has been evacuated following a warning about a suspicious package.

As Associated Press reported witnessed how police and security staff of the SNCF, France's national rail operator, sealed off Marne-de-la-Vallee train station, 25 kilometre east of the French capital this evening.

All trains from and to the train station were disrupted and thousands of travellers were waiting near the park entrance.

Disneyland Paris said the park remains open to the public. Stations close to the site have been evacuated several times in recent weeks in what turned to be false alarms amid a summer of tensions after a string of deadly extremist attacks.
