Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is also Donald Trump's friend, said the US Republican Presidential candidate was in his apartment "watching everything though I am telling him not to".
Giuliani said this in an interview on Tuesday evening after attending a small gathering with the real estate mogul at Trump Tower, The Washington Post reported.
Giuliani said Trump was drinking Diet Coke as he eyed the television and the initial returns out of several states. At 6 p.m., Trump had not yet eaten dinner.
"He is calm. We are all cautiously optimistic," Giuliani said when asked to describe the mood at Trump's home.
