24x7 Learning, the Bangalore-based e-learning implementation company has announced the launch of 'SkillBridge', an employability enhancement programme.

The programme is aimed at upgrading the behavioural and IT skills of fresh engineering and management graduates and make them employable.

The eight-month SkillBridge programme will impart various skills like communication, personality development, team work, spoken english, interview preparation in a blended and interactive manner (multi-modal simulations, quizzes and on-site workshops) to fresh graduates. The company plans to train around 20,000 students under this programme in the current fiscal.

Karthik K S, founder & CEO, 24x7 Learning, said, "SkillBridge is a significant step forward in our attempt to bridge the widening manpower demand and supply gap. It will help India Inc sustain high levels of growth by being able to hire skilled manpower. We also believe that the cost of recruitment and training will come down significantly once the programme takes root and gains wider acceptance."

24x7 learning has so far entered into agreements with SJM Institute of Technology, SKS VMA College of Engineering, Gandhi Insitute of Technology, Kaustav Institute of Technology, Cambridge Institute of Technology, National College of Engineering among others.

The company is primarily targeting engineering colleges in Tier II and Tier III cities, where job-placement records are low due to the students' skill gaps.
