Top business leaders will congregate on the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, (IIM-L) campus for the annual flagship extravaganza ‘Manfest 2010’, which took off in signature style today.

One of the biggest B-school festivals in India, Manfest will span three days of learning with fun for the future business leaders. Reputed B-schools are participating in this much-awaited event, which will also mark the silver jubilee of IIM-L.

There are several events lined up, including auto industry conclave; gaming and animation conclave; corporate luncheon; the annual reunion; and musical nights featuring Kailash Kher and Parikrama.

Manfest will see the participation of top industry captains such as TCS vice chairman S Ramadorai, Mercedes Benz India CEO Wilfred Aulbur, Fiat India president and CEO Rajeev Kapoor, Siam director general Dilip Chenoy and DC design founder Dilip Chhabaria, among others.

Citi director treasury Sameer Chandra was the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony, which was followed by the launch of Manfest publication Gravitas.

“The theme of Manfest 2010 — India: Expect, Explore, Experience — has struck a chord with students and corporates alike, given our nation’s ever increasing importance in the global economic scenario. This theme finds increasing relevance today given the massive hidden potential we as a nation possess and the tremendous possibilities we can create,” IIM-L Director Devi Singh said.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by a business quiz.
