Consortium of Management Education (COME), an alliance of 52 unaided private business schools in Maharashtra, today announced the commencement of its Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for member institutes.

“Historically, our member institutes have witnessed many students from North India, especially Lucknow enrolling for full-time management courses. COME not only makes the admission process easy, but offers best colleges with AICTE approved curriculum,” COME executive president Apoorva Palkar told media here.

Most COME institutes are located in Mumbai and Pune. Palkar said COME was created for allowing the students save cost of multiple admission forms by filling a single online form for all-member institutes. COME also claims to represent the issue of autonomy of management education in the country.

“This is the first such initiative taken by a group of management institutions in India,” Palkar said, adding, “COME endeavours to provide optimum resource to the students to pursue higher management education.”

CAP involves group discussion and personal interview conducted at such select centres pan India as Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Indore, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar and Jaipur. Students apply to COME through their CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, JMET, MHCET and respective state level CET scores.
