Advisory professional services organisation, Deloitte, is looking at taking global Campus Maverick, its pan-India business solutions competition that puts to test the business acumen of students from the country’s top 60 MBA institutes.
“It (going global) is not something we can rule out in future. We are going to play this out in India and will look back in November-December to come to a conclusion,” Hari Kumar, principal, Deloitte, told Business Standard.
In its second edition now, Campus Maverick is all about enhancing the campus-corporate connect, he added.

As many as 14,000 students from across 60 campuses have registered online for participating in the 2013 edition of Campus Maverick, as against 6,000 students from 30 top business schools last year.
Kumar said, the regional rounds of this year’s competition would be held at IIM-Calcutta, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Bombay and at ISB starting August 24. It will culminate with a grand finale at Deloitte’s office in Hyderabad on September 20.
Students will be given an opportunity to think strategic solutions for challenges faced by the present day business leaders.
Where the business cases go beyond the typical classroom or management competition case studies.
Eight teams with three members each would compete in the grand finale. A cash prize of Rs 3 lakh would be awarded to the winning team, besides providing its members an opportunity to serve on Deloitte’s BAC (management advisory council) for one year, Kumar added.
