The Centre for Training in Ethical Leadership (CENTREL), in association with Initiatives of Change - Friends of Moral Re-Armament (IC - MRA, India) is conducting a middle-management programme on ethical leadership from February 23 to 26, at Asia Plateau, Panchgani.
 
The three-and-half-day residential programme aims at enabling participants to understand what constitutes ethical behaviour in their personal, organisational and social lives; understand the relevance and benefits of ethical behaviour; learn approaches to respond ethically to challenges; and discover the source of awareness, courage and inspiration to live a full life.
 
Conducted under the guidance of course director Seenu Iyengar, the programme has faculty comprising eminent leaders, administrators and trainers from government, business houses, academia and social organisations.
 
AIMA's annual awards
 
The All India Management Association (AIMA) has announced the annual awards for the J R D Tata corporate leadership, public service excellence and lifetime achievement award for management.
 
The awards were presented at New Delhi on February 21. Venu Srinivasan, CMD of TVS Motor Company, was chosen for this year's J R D Tata corporate leadership award for exemplary display of corporate courage and leadership.
 
K Vijaykumar, the IPS officer who successfully encountered sandalwood brigand Veerappan, was awarded the public service excellence award.
 
Ajit Haksar, former CEO of ITC, was conferred with the lifetime achievement award for management.
