ICFAI to offer PG diploma in business administration

ICFAI National College (INC) will be offering a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) at 155 centres across the country from 2006.
 
The full-time, campus-based course was first offered by the college in 2003, across seven centres and from across 41 centres in 2004.
 
Briefing mediapersons on the current admissions to the course, P Kamesh, regional head, INC, said, "The PG programme offers specialisations in marketing, finance, human resource management (HRM) and IT&Systems in four semesters over a span of two years. While the cost of the course is Rs 1.9 lakh in metro cities, it is being offered at Rs 1.2 lakh in lower tier cities."
 
The difference in cost is pertaining to provision of infrastructure, he said. The course also offers concurrent enrolment in MBA programme (distance learning) on payment of additional fee.
 
INC has worked out an arrangement with Alchemist HR Services Private Limited for providing placements to the successful students of the PG programme. "INC has a good record of 100 per cent placement," said M Bhaskar Rao, academic coordinator at INC.
 
"In 2005, all the 341 students from the first batch were successfully placed, and we expect full placement this year too. Of the 1,964 students enrolled in 2004, 1,126 have already been placed till now," Bhaskar said. The average remuneration has been Rs 10,000 on a CTC (cost-to-company) basis, he said.
