IIM-A mulls restarting PGP-PMP

The institute is working with alumni and corporations to raise funds for more number of research chairs

After discontinuing with the post graduate programme for public management and policy (PGP-PMP) some years back, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is contemplating on restarting the program again.

"We are contemplating establishing a Policy and Management Program in the near future," said Ashish Nanda, director of IIM-A in his convocation address on Saturday.

Nanda also announced that the institute is working with alumni and corporations to raise funds for more number of research chairs.  Already, in recent past, alumni and corporate together have contributed to 11 faculty chairs and faculty fellow positions at IIM-A

In a first, the institute also bagged a renewal of the EQUIS accreditation for five years
 
"It was heartening that the recent visit of the EQUIS Peer Review Team validated our priorities and renewed our accreditation for five years, the first time we have received renewal for such a duration, the maximum length of time permissible under Equis norms," Nanda added.
