IIM-L to start intl programme for executives

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM-L) is set to start a new course for working executives from April this year,which will give them international exposure. The programme will be conducted at the institute's capsule campus in Noida.
 
The new one-year programme "" called International Programme in Management for Executives, (IPMX) "" will encompass 4-5 weeks of international module at Faculty of Management in McGill University Campus, Canada.
 
Adding yet another feature to its new campus at Noida, Devi Singh, director, IIM-L, informed that a National Faculty Development Centre and upgrade management faculty will also be made operational in the coming academic year.
 
The institute will also increase its student intake for its post-graduate programme from the current 240 to 330, Singh informed in his address at the 22nd convocation ceremony at IIM-L.
 
At the convocation, 235 students of the 22nd batch and 2 students of the 21st batch of the post-graduate programme in management and 21 students in the third batch of IIM-L's post-graduate programme in agri-business management were awarded diplomas.
 
Besides, one student in the fellow programme, the doctoral level programme at the institute, received his title at the convocation, thus taking the total to 259 students.
 
The graduates were awarded diplomas by JJ Irani, chairman, board of governors of the IIM-L.
 
IIM-L completed its placement procedure on March 7 this year. All the 256 graduating students of the institute were placed. There were 586 offers made to 256 students (against 554 last year), including 32 international offers (against 28 last year).
