The Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) is the most ridiculous entrance test in the world, noted management guru and honorary dean, Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM), Arindam Chaudhuri said here.

“The CAT entrance is skewed as it gives an undue edge to the engineering graduates. CAT places a lot of emphasis on IQ whereas in actual practice it is EQ (emotional quotient) which makes a successful manager”, he said.

The management guru was addressing the MBA students and the aspiring MBAs in a seminar on 'See the World through a keyhole or Open the World with an MBA’. Chaudhuri took a dig at the prevailing education system in India which emphasized on rote learning and completion of the syllabus.
