The NMIMS School of Business Management (SBM), Mumbai, entered into a partnership with SHRM India, a 100 per cent subsidiary of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), one of the world's largest HR professional association. The institute would collaborate with SHRM India for their MBA in Human Resource (MBA-HR) programme.
The areas of collaboration also promote mutually beneficial interaction between the MBA-HR students and practitioners. All the MBA-HR students on becoming members with SHRM India will receive a host of benefits such as being able to supplement their classroom education with SHRM’s knowledge base. SHRM India would also help to organize student initiatives which will give the student members an opportunity to network and learn from HR practitioners and thought leaders. Further, based on content review and approval by SHRM India, the best student projects with novel and value adding content will be showcased on the SHRM India website.
"This partnership would prove to be a major milestone for the MBA HR program. In a short time span, the MBA HR Program content has been able to achieve curriculum alignment with SHRM standards proving its robustness and currency at the global level. Additionally, it is very exciting for our students to have access to a large learning resource such as the one SHRM provides. We hope this partnership will greatly enable us to achieve our aim of developing well rounded HR professionals for industry," said SBM Dean Debashis Sanyal.
G Ravindran, CEO and MD of SHRM India added that through this partnership, SHRM India aims to impart functional research based insights through the MBA-HR curriculum to enhance the industry readiness of students.
