The pan-IIM alumni association has filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court challenging the government's order to the IIMs to implement quota in post graduate programmes in the light of the recent Supreme Court judgment.

At its last hearing, the court asked Additional Solicitor General Gopal Subramaniam what exercise has the government undertaken after the recent SC judgement and where does it say in the judgment that the quota can be implemented in post graduate programmes.

The pan-IIM Alumni Association represents the alumni community of all the six IIMs and has been formed to bring the alumni body on a common platform for networking and to represent IIM alumni on matters of common interest.

Last year, the association had filed a Public Interest Litigation in the Supreme Court against the reservation Bill.
