Societe Generale arm to give Rs 1 cr in scholarships

Bangalore-based Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC), a subsidiary of the France-based Societe Generale group, has launched a scholarship programme for students of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) -Bangalore, IIM-Kozhikode and the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B).

The ‘SG GSC India Talent Scholarship’ programme, part of the company’s CSR programme, will fund higher education for talented students with financial difficulties, who have been selected to some of the top professional institutes/universities. The aid, Rs 1 crore in total, does not come with any riders and gives the 11 beneficiaries a chance to be mentored by senior staff from the 11 verticals of SG GSC.
