OTHER RESPONSES
Specialised industry programs do create a better impact then general management programs since these courses benefit the students and companies alike. Students get the benefit of knowing in totality about the sector they would like to be in and companies are guaranteed some level of knowledge from their end which eases their training and grooming efforts on the new recruits. The specialised courses not only provide students the knowledge on a particular sector but also ensures learning on basic general management program subjects and hence works better than general management programs.

Specialised course in banking grew out of a need to create job-ready professional who could fulfill organisational need immediately. Thereby, lock the person in one arena of banking and finance of only. While general management course teaches course core and basic business principles, gives individual wider perspective of handling the contemporary business challenges. More often, seen that person with general management qualification seek and share knowledge independently and in groups. It gives more objectivity to live as it value system, beliefs & sharps inherent skills.

In this era of specialisation, without having an iota of doubt, specialised industry programmes are better than general management programmes as specialised MBA programmes have a definite role to play for students with a clear focus, who wants to enter into a particular industry. If a candidate has accrued significant work experience in one industry and knows where his future lies, why not specialise with experts on MBA programmes who know both general management practices as well as skills unique to that industry. specialisation prevents from being a jack of all trades but master of none.
- Sourabh Jamer, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mumbai.
General MBA is a broad study on all aspects of management which is very essential for overall nurturing of a MBA student. But, in today's scenario with the introduction of changes proposed increase in FDI insurance, the need of individuals in specialised jobs is bound to increase. For example with increased insurance penetration the need of actuaries, skilled underwriters and business analysts specialised in insurance would increase rather than people with general MBA and no knowledge of insurance. So to cope up with the pressures of ever changing market specialised specialised management courses are need of the hour.

Management is an art of science and science not applied is like a lantern with tank full of fuel but without a flame. management course teaches all the technical ways to tackle the problems and decision making but every situation is distinct with its own pros and cons which can be better known when faced in the field.internships enhances the micro level management abilities of students.

Specialised management students are like hot cakes in the market, the perspective of companies are that they can perform better when compared to others. Institutions such as NIA, NICMAR,NITIE etc. which provide management professionals for banking ,construction and industrial sectors have proved their importance in the existing markets. On the other hand, students prefer these courses when they know where to land up their future either in business or corporate organisations.

Training is a very costly & time consuming process that’s reason now a days Industry wants a candidate who completely fit to the company’s required skills and expertise. Specific courses like banking are designed much focused according to banking requirements. Whereas general management courses are like sailing different boats without having any specific goals. So what can be better option to reduce the training cost, time and improving productivity other than to prefer who are well industries oriented and prepared for the industry. Specific courses are process of cooking for any particular dishes so, it becomes tasty.
- Sumit Sourav, Regional College of Management, Bhubaneswar.
Specialised program reaps greater benefits than general management program because now a days the orientation toward looking the career is completely changed. In almost every industry there are well-qualified people, who simply want to progress and provide meaningful contribution within their existing field, and a specialised industry specific program can give them a helping hand in their focused career. People are now attracted towards 'T shaped' learning (overview of every domain and specialised in one particular domain). This orientation of focused program ultimately opens wider horizons for career trajectory.
