The book that inspired me

The 8th Habit has inspired me in every aspect of business. The business that we operate in has no means of measurement, except delivering the best experiential value to our customers.

In most management books, the author leaves the management aspect of handling things at work to the topline managers. However, here the author ensures that the managerial way of handling issues at work goes down the management line. This includes the person at the lowest rung as well as the CEO.

If the principles recommended by Stephen Covey are implemented in real life, it will help managers to make everyone understand company's objectives and goals. Also, it will help them develop a sense of belonging and understanding of the business at the lower management level.

The author has in a right way moved from "effectiveness" in his earlier book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to "greatness" in this book. The greatness lies in how a manager can effectively deliver the importance of services and efficiency in any business. This holds especially true for the services industry, where experience is the only benchmark for performance.
