The Eamcet (engineering, medicine and agriculture common entrance test) admission committee on Wednesday announced the schedule for web-based counselling.

According to the committee, students belonging to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will have to indicate their options from August 17-25 for the 645 listed colleges in both the states.

According to the committee's schedule, candidates securing ranks from 1-50,000 would have to register their options on Aug 17-18; from 50,001-100,000 on Aug 20-21; 100,001-150,000 on Aug 22-23 and 150,001 to 203,000 on Aug 24-25. The last rank is 203,000.

However, students will get to change or modify their options on August 26 and 27.

Allotment of seats would be done on August 30, and students will have to report to their respective allotted colleges on September 1, said the committee.

While the Telangana government has finalised 315 colleges, Andhra Pradesh has listed out 330 colleges.

Commissioner of technical education in the Telangana government, Shailajah Ramaiyer, said the state government had notified the official order on starting the certificate verification exercise from tomorrow in the designated 23 helpline centres (HLCs). Of these, six HLCs are located in Hyderabad.

Certificate verification in Andhra Pradesh had already begun on August 7 and will end on Aug 23.

Among the 315 colleges listed for the web counselling in Telangana, a few are still awaiting the respective university affiliation. “We are in touch with JNTU-H and Osmania University to complete the affiliation in the next 2-3 days,” said Ramaiyer.

She said the state government would pass the requisite orders clearing the participation of all the designated colleges in the counselling process.
