The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensex rallied on Friday on reports that US-led coalition forces had reached the outskirts of Baghdad.

Registering gains for the fourth straight day, the sensex settled 18.04 points higher at 3169.20.

Marketmen said expectations of an early end to the war in Iraq was the main reason for the rally.
