A reva T&D gains 6.62% on 326% rise in Q4 bottomline

Areva T&D jumped 6.62 per cent to Rs 503.45 on announcement of strong Q4 results. 5.16 lakh shares were traded on the BSE. The scrip has gained 41.45 per cent since January 2, 2006.
 
The company reported 325.9 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 15.42 crore in the quarter ended December 2005 compared with Rs 3.62 crore for the same period last year. Net sales rose 46 per cent to Rs 371.59 crore compared with Rs 254.41 crore of the previous year.
 
The board of directors has also approved the merger of Areva T&D Systems India, Areva T&D Lightning Arresters and Areva T&D Instrument Transformers India, with the company and appointed valuers and other advisors and consultants to assist the company in the process.
 
The company also announced a final dividend of 25 per cent (15 per cent for the nine-month period ended December 2005, in addition to a special one-time dividend of 10 per cent to commemorate the company's 'Golden Jubilee Year').
