A SMALL PAUSE: Sensex down 26pts

 Satyam slipped over 3% to Rs 463. Bharti Airtel dropped 2.5% to Rs 623.

HLL shed 1.7% to Rs 241, and ONGC declined 1.4% to Rs 845.

Reliance Energy, Tata Motors and ITC were down over 1% each to Rs 546, Rs 823 and Rs 180, respectively.

HDFC Bank advanced 2.8% to Rs 1,108. Hero Honda gained 2.5% at Rs 747.

BHEL and Larsen & Toubro advanced over 2% each to Rs 2,517 and Rs 1,403, respectively. Bajaj Auto added 1.7% to Rs 2,640.

NTPC, HDFC and Maruti were up over 1% each at Rs 142, Rs 1,652 and Rs 906, respectively.

VALUE & VOLUME TOPPERS

 Siemens topped the value chart with a turnover of Rs 236 crore followed by Info Edge (Rs 218.50 crore), Unitech (Rs 165 crore), Mahindra Gesco (Rs 157.80 crore) and Reliance (Rs 111 crore).

IFCI led the volume chart with trades of around 63 lakh shares followed by Hindustan Organic (56.25 lakh), Reliance Natural Resources (51 lakh), Donear Industries (42.70 lakh) and DCB (41.40 lakh).
