Aban Offshore Q2 net dips 73.32% to Rs 71.4 crore

Offshore drilling and oil field services provider, Aban Offshore said its consolidated net profit declined by 73.32 per cent to Rs 71.4 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009, over the same period last year.

Total income has decreased to Rs 709.96 crore in the latest quarter ended September 30, against Rs 984.12 crore in the same period last fiscal, Aban Offshore said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

On the standalone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 87.33 crore in the July -September quarter, up 7.36 per cent from Rs 81.34 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

 

Shares of Aban Offshore were trading at Rs 1,381.05 on the BSE, down 10.36 per cent from its previous close.
