The stock finally settled with a gain of 6% at Rs 559. The stock clocked a volume of 4.7 lakh shares on the BSE today.

Aditya Birla Nuvo opened up Rs 10, at Rs 538 following the company's plans to raise fresh equity worth Rs 1,500 crore. This will be done to finance the group's life insurance business.
However, the company had reported a net loss of Rs 141 crore for the fourth quarter oF FY09 as a result of losses from BPO, garments and its new life insurance business. The stock had then slumped (Rs 70) to Rs 523, on April 28, 2009.
The stock, however, has recovered and is now up 4.5% at Rs 552. A total of 13,376 shares have been traded on the BSE so far.
