 In the first half of 2005 (as of June 27,2005), the Coffee Board issued permits of 1,05,972 tonne against 1,46,164 tonne issued in first half of 2004.  Quantity exported was 84,979 tonne as against 1,40,120 tonne.  Among the foreign buyers of Indian coffee, Harris Freeman & Company of US tops with 8,115 tonne, followed by M T Trieste of UK 4469.7 tonne and Coco Cola Far East, Hong Kong 2566.6 tonne, Louis Dreyfus Trading, UK 2131.2 tonne and Olam International, Singapore 2106.6 tonne.
