In a range-bound trading, almond prices fell by Rs 6.50, or 2.08 per cent, to Rs 306 per kg in futures trade today on sluggish demand against increased supply.

Weakening trend in producing regions also put pressure on the almond prices at futures trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, almond for June contract fell by Rs 6.50, or 2.08 per cent, to Rs 306 per kg, with an open interest of 127 lots.

However, almond for delivery in September contract held steady at Rs 320.25 per kg, with a trading volume of nine lots.

Marketmen said sluggish demand in the spot market against increased arrivals pulled down the almond prices at futures trade.
