Almond futures dip 2.87% on sluggish demand

In range-bound trading, almond prices plunged by Rs 9.75, or 2.87 per cent to Rs 330.25 per kg, in futures trade today on sluggish demand in spot markets against adequate stocks.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, almond for June contract tumbled by Rs 9.75, or 2.87 per cent to Rs 330.25 per kg, with an open interest of 142 lots.

However, almond for September-month contract remained steady at Rs 346.25 per kg, with an open interest of three lots.

Marketmen said sluggish demand against adequate stocks position pulled down the almond prices at futures trade.
