Almond futures prices rose by Rs 1.50, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 334.50 per kg today on increased demand in the spot market.

Restricted arrivals from overseas market also led to a rise in the prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, almond for the September-month contract rose Rs 1.50, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 334.50 per kg, with a trading volume of one lot.

Market analysts said the firmness in almond futures trade was due to increased demand in the spot market, against restricted arrivals from overseas markets.
