Almond prices rose by Rs 3.75 or 1.06 per cent to Rs 375 per kg in futures trade today driven by increased demand in the spot markets.

Restricted arrivals from overseas markets also led to a rise in the prices.

On the Multi commodity Exchange, almond for the June-month contract rose by Rs 3.75 or 1.06 per cent to Rs 357 per kg, with a trading volume of two lots.

Traders said, increased demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from overseas markets mainly led to a rise in almond prices at futures market here.
