Almond prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg bag in the national capital today on pick up in buying activity and firm demand.
Tight stocks followed by fall in supplies from overseas markets also supported the upside in prices.
Almond (california) prices firmed by Rs 100 to Rs 10,300 per 40 kg and its kernel also moved up to Rs 345-350 from the previous close of Rs 350-355 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said apart from restricted supplies from overseas markets, increased demand from stockists and retailers, also gave a push to rising almond prices.
