Almond prices rose by Re one, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 319 per kg in futures market today, influenced by increased demand in the spot market.

Restricted arrivals from overseas market also led to a rise in prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, almond for September contract rose by Re one, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 319 per kg, with a trading volume of two lots.

Market analysts said firmness in almond futures trade was mostly due to increased demand in the spot market, against restricted arrival from overseas markets.
