Almond prices rose by 200 per 40 kg bag in the national capital today largely influenced by rising domestic demand due to the ongoing marriage season amid fall in supplies from overseas markets.
Almond (california) prices rose by Rs 200 to Rs 9,800 per 40 kg and its kernel moved up to Rs 345-350 from previous close of Rs 335-345 per kg, respectively.
Market analysts said apart from restricted supplies from overseas markets, increased demand from stockists and retailers led to the rise in almond prices.
