Almond up on spot demand

In restricted activity, almond prices rose by Rs 150 to Rs 380 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of a rise in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange,the April delivery rose by Rs 1.50, or 0.40% to Rs 380 per kg in just one lot.

Market analysts said fresh buying by speculators driven by pick-up in demand in the spot market mainly influenced almond prices at futures trade here.
