Aluminium prices edged up by 0.53 per cent to Rs 104.90 per kg in futures trade today on fresh buying in tandem with a firming trend in other base metals overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, aluminium for October-month gained 55 paise, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 104.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 10 lots, while delivery in November-month edged up by 45 paise, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 106.15 per kg, with a business volume of six lots.
Marketmen said apart from firming trend in copper and other base metals in overseas markets, better trend at spot markets on the back of pick up in demand, also influenced the aluminium prices at futures trade.
