Aluminium futures prices fell by 0.24 per cent, to Rs 103.55 per kg today after speculators booked profits.

However, firming trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME), restricted losses.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, aluminium for delivery in October and November fell by 25 paise, or 0.24 per cent each, to Rs 103.80 and Rs 105.05 per kg, respectively, with a turnover of nine and four lots.

Marketmen said the weakness in aluminium futures was mostly due to profit taking by speculators, but firming trend in the base metals at the LME, limited losses.

Meanwhile, aluminium at the LME rose 0.02 per cent to $2,367 per tonne.
