Alumininum rises in futures trade, gains 0.45%

Aluminium gained Rs 0.45, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 101.55 per kg in futures trade today, tracking firming trend in other base metals.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, aluminium for delivery in October contract rose Rs 0.45, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 101.55 per kg, with a business turnover of 6 lots.

The metal for delivery in September contract also rose by a similar margin to Rs 100.55 per kg, with a turnover of 237 lots.

Marketmen said apart from better trend at physical markets on the back of pick up in demand, firmness in base metals overseas after positive US employment data influenced the aluminium futures.
