Aluminium down 0.2% on weak global cues

Subdued demand in domestic spot markets weighed on metal prices

Aluminium futures for May declined by 25 paise, or 0.24%, to Rs 103.60 per kg in 31 lots.     

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract traded lower by 20 paise, or 0.20%, to Rs 102.25 per kg in 378 lots.

Speculators offloading their positions amid subdued demand in domestic spot markets weighed on the metal prices.

At the London Metal Exchange (LME), aluminium retreated 1.1% to $1,884 per tonne.
