Aluminium futures prices fell by 0.73% to Rs 108.20 per kg today, as speculators reduced their positions in tandem with a weakening global trend on demand concern.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, October aluminium fell by Rs 1.20, or 0.73%, to Rs 108.20 per kg, with a business volume of 243 lots.
The November contract traded lower by 75 paise, or 0.68% to Rs 109 per kg, with a trade volume of eight lots.
Analysts said weakness in the entire base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange (LME) and slackened domestic demand, led to a fall in aluminium futures prices here.
Meanwhile, at the LME aluminium fell 0.6% to $2,234 a tonne.
